Invite Lyco

Add Lyco as your accountant inside Mercury. You choose what we can see and do, and you can remove us at any time.

We keep the books

We set up Mercury Books, review and reconcile every month, and use the same books for your tax return.

Is Mercury right for you?

A good fit if

• Your customers pay you by card, ACH or wire
• You want your books current without sending statements every month
• Your team uses several company cards
• You already sell through Stripe or PayPal

Probably not a fit if

• You deposit cash often: Mercury does not take cash deposits
• You need a branch or a teller in person
• You'd rather keep your current bank. That's fine: we keep your books in QuickBooks with the bank you already use.

Is Mercury a bank?

No. Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services are provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC.

Does Lyco get paid if I open an account?

Mercury may pay Lyco a referral fee when an account opened through our link meets Mercury's conditions. It costs you nothing and doesn't change what you pay Lyco. We only suggest Mercury when it fits your business.

Do I have to bank with Mercury to work with Lyco?

No. We keep books for clients at many banks, mostly in QuickBooks Online. Mercury is an option, not a requirement.

Who controls the account?

You do. The account is in your business's name. Lyco only gets the access you give us, and you can remove it at any time.

Can Lyco open the account for me?

No. You apply yourself, so the account and its sign-in stay yours. We're happy to walk you through the application on a call.
